Jimmy proposed that morning! I made us breakfast before opening gifts, and Jimmy asked "Are you really gonna make me wait and eat breakfast first?" ha. Yes I made him wait, but little did I know the real reason why he was so anxious :) I opened my gift first, and picked up this shoe size box. I opened it up, and saw the red little box inside. Was thinking "it couldn't be".. looked up at him and smiled, then went on to open the red box. Then saw some writing on the lid that connects to the box. Read it in my head "Will you Marry Me?", and said out loud "for real??" I instantly cried. Hugged and kissed Jimmy, and felt like I was in a dream. Then I finally finished opening the red box, that had the ring box inside. Opened it up and smiled so big. Kept kissing Jimmy, and then he said, "babe?..Will you Marry me?" I then officially answered, "yes!". Then gave him the ring box and said "k put it on me!". He picked the ring out all on his own, and he did awesome. I love it!....All day I felt like I was in a dream. Couldn't believe, I'm actually engaged and getting married, to the man of my dreams!
I think back on the night of March 6th, 2009, when we were officially introduced. His smile, his dimples, his eyes, made me weak at the knees. I remember thinking "my life is never going to be the same", and I was right. He has changed my life for the good in so many ways. Still today, his smile, his dimples, his eyes, have such an effect on my. (ask him, he can get away with anything, with that smile)
We have decided to get married on September 28th, 2013. The planning of this wedding has been fun and stressful. Love that Jimmy is so into this as well, and is willing to do anything to help. I am one lucky girl.
Now the long to do list for the big day. Cannot wait to marry my studly man, and be Mrs.Oaks.
