Christmas is coming, the Goose is getting fat!
Christmas is coming! This year I wanted to get more in the spirit, and so I started by decorating! Here are some pics of our place decorated for Christmas. :)
Thanksgiving
This year we had Thanksgiving with Jimmy's family. It was alot of fun! I actually didnt eat as much as I usually do, and I was very proud of myself. haha. My family has a tradition each thanksgiving, to each say what we are thankful for before we eat. I was able to be included in on this on speaker phone, which was awesome, I LOVE my family. I then went Christmas Tree hunting the day after for my first time. It was a fun adventure :) In the spirit of Thanksgiving, here are a few things I am thankful for:
*My awesome, crazy, fun, humorous, unorganized, family. My life wouldn't be complete without each and every one of them. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
*My wonderful, talented, good looking, funny, trustworthy, loving boyfriend. He treats me like a princess, and it still feels unreal sometimes that he's mine. He makes a sad depressing day, into a happy fun day, just by being him. He is perfect for me in every way...a puzzle piece only has one spot to fit without being forced...and mine and his puzzles pieces, are right next to each other.
*Each of my wonderful friends, who are there for me whenever I need them, whether we talk daily, or not. Its a great feeling, to know you have friends no matter what :)
*A job to pay the bills, and cover the necessities and more. I am blessed to not have to worry about not having food, clothes, a bed to sleep in, or any others needs.
*Prayer. Prayer is powerful. I am glad that I can talk to my Heavenly Father, whenever and wherever, and know he is listening.
I could go on and on about what I am thankful for, but I will stop there :)

Busy Life
So here I am blogging, after a few months. Life is quite busy lately, but decided tonight is blogging night :)
Here is an update on some fun things we have done lately...
What we ended up being for Halloween, Joker and Harely Quinn will have to wait til another year. He was V for Vendetta, and I was Maverick from Top Gun. Halloween was a blast! Best part, was laughing hysterically with my friend Renee, over something silly, and we were the only ones laughing. New inside joke for us! haha :)
We had family pictures taken, and my brother Preston was the photographer. Here is a small taste of those pics. :)

Halloween!!
Halloween is coming! It's my favorite holiday! I love dressing up, going trick or treating, (even though I haven't been in a few years) getting scared (I like getting scared, when I know its coming, if you scare me any other time of the year, I slap you)hahahah!
Last year, James and I were, Wolverine and Phoenix.
This year we want to be the Joker and Harley Quinn. Im so excited!! :)
Haunted Houses are my favorite, and I hope I go to at least one this year. They aren't as fun as the ones I made as a kid with my girlfriends though. Good times :) And this year, I think I will decorate my apartment too! Yay for Halloween!

MJ
MJ is the name of my car, cuz one side mirror is black, the other one is white. She (yes i know mj is a man, but my car is a woman) cant decide whether she is black or white. She also cant decide whether she is a good car, or a piece of shit. Let me tell you our story together thus far..
I bought her December of 06. We had a good couple of years, just basic maintenance. January of 09 roles around, her engine decided to die on me. At this point, my car was more than half paid off. So got a loan from my bank, which brought my loan back up to where i started 2 years before. Got her a new engine (her new nose job as I say) She was back up and running.
A month later, someone decided to steal her right out of her parking stall at my apartment. It was a very un fun experience for me. They found her the next morning in West Salt Lake, back window shattered, and steering column broken. They took check stubs from the glove box, and a few other things. They towed her to the local mechanic through my insurance. I had to come up with $500 for my deductible to get my car fixed. I was pretty pissed, I pay my insurance a ton already, and than I have to pay to fix my car, when I didnt break it! So I go to my bank, get a credit card, to pay for this damn car. Pay for it, get it back in one piece, and she's back up and running once again.
A few months later, July 4th weekend, James, Lexi, and I are driving up to Logan to camp with friends. When MJ, decides to be pissy, and over heat, and turn on her engine light! We pull over off the Farmington exit, and walk 15 min to a local gas station to get coolant. We fill up the radiator, sit for a while, to let her cool down. We take it to Checker in Kaysville, to get the code from the engine light. Code was for the thermostat sensor. We decide to still take my car on to Logan, and figure it out when we got home. A few weeks later, I buy the parts needed to fix the problem. By then, the engine light had gone off, and not over heated in while. So we hold onto the parts, and wait a while.
Then about a week after buying those parts, my car is stolen once again. This time from James apartment. I waited around for the cops to call or show up, and they finally called. They put her on the national list, and said if you find it, let us know. I hoped they wouldnt find her. But a few hours later, they found her. A few streets away from his apartment. I go to pick it up, she is still running, and they stole my radio, broke the air vent above radio, and broke the key ignition, so anything put in the hole could start or turn off my car. Luckily they didnt take my newly bought parts in my glove box. I take her to the insurance claim place, and get a check for $150 for the difference of the deductible I should pay. A few days later, I tried to jam the key in the ignition to fix it, which it did! I saved myself tons of money. Still no radio though. A few weeks later, I put the old stock radio back in. She was almost back to normal.
Then about a month or so later, she was stolen once again, yes again. I was hoping again, that she did not come back. I did not want her found, or at least find her in pieces. I wanted a new car, and MJ to be gone. Around this time, is when the real MJ passed away, so I was thinking, well its her time now too! So 4 days passed, I was crossing my fingers, that my wish had come true. But around the 4th day, they found her, a couple blocks away from James place. In one piece, nothing taken, nothing broken. Guess they realized they had taken this car before, and it sucks!!!
James then takes my car with him to work, and puts the new thermostat in for me. Brings it home, and now it is leaking coolant somewhere. Back to square one. We try and find the leak, but couldn't. I drive it to work a few days, it was ok, if i kept it full of coolant. Week goes by, and its overheating bad. It leaked a whole thing of coolant in one day, and I didnt realize it. We find one leak, in one of the hoses. I buy a new hose, replace it. Hoping my problem was solved. Nope. We then find a crack in my radiator. I go and buy some poxy stuff, put it over the crack to hold til I could buy a new radiator.
Then a week later, my cars transmission is acting up, my car wont shift gears. I was so scared to drive it. I took it to a local mechanic, and they said it was a plug that had come loose for the transmission. So glad it wasnt worse. So I save up the money, buy a club for the steering wheel, so nobody will take my car again, and buy a radiator. Put the new radiator in, clean my engine some, and she was back up and running good once again. But not for long.
My engine light came on, and spedometer stopped working. It would tell me I was going 60 when i was going 15, and would just jump around all the time. Looked up the problem, and it said it was the Vehicle Speed Sensor. I put the problem off for a while, cuz it was just the spedometer, and I didnt have money for the part. Well months go buy, and the spedometer is still not working, and than my transmission starts to act up again. Like seriously, what more could happen!?! So I bring it to a mechanic to see whats goin on, they say, with the spedometer not working, its either the fuse blown, or the Vehicle Speed Sensor, or a wiring problem. And whatever it is, is what is causing your transmission to act up. So I think, simple problem, simple solution, right? Wrong. We check the fuse, its fine, we buy a new Sensor, change it, still doesnt work.
So a week or so goes by, and here I am today. We checked, and found a sensor broken, and think it is the Drive Pulley Speed Sensor, which would make sense, if we are right. But now the problem is, how to fix it??
I know you are thinking, why not just buy a new car? Well I have tried. My insurance has gone up, from a recent drivers license check, and would go up more, with a new car. Also, I start school in a month, so cant afford a higher car payment. So I am stuck with crazy MJ. Black or white? Bad car or good car? Either way, she needs to decide.

--I know this page is basically about our life, but that doesn't mean I can't do a post just about how I love my man. There isn't a day that goes by, that I don't think how lucky I am. Each day I spend with him just gets better and better. I never knew I could love someone so much, and then somehow, my heart grows, and I fall in love with him more and more every day.

School!
One day, when I was 18, I was taking one of my many pills, and thought to myself...how does medicine work? What am I really putting in me? How are they made?...and then said to myself, I should become a Pharmacist, I will then know so much more, and can save myself and my family money on medication! But than laughed at myself, me go to college??!! Yeah right. I didn't finish high school, took my GED instead and worked my senior year. School was something I was good at, but I wasn't cut out for the stress that it brought me. So I pushed my crazy thoughts of college to the side. Many times, I let the thoughts creep back in, and I would look into schools, and really thought about it....but I procrastinated, made excuses, and pushed it aside more....than I met James. :) He has helped me get motivated, and stick to my plan. To him, it might not seem like much, but to me, it means more than I could explain. I now am doing something for myself, and achieving, a goal, I never thought I could. :)
So here I am, 4 years later, starting school. Crazy I know. You don't have to tell me. Wish me luck!

a few days. we met at a bbq, and then a few days later hung out, and have been inseparable since.

Like a literal date?....we were going to go to cheesecake factory, but they had an hour wait. And since neither of us can make decisions, we went to mcdonalds or as he calls it mcchokin puke. haha.

I do, 5 bros, 1 sis.

I got some for Valentines Day, and our 1 year anniversary.
♥ How do you spend the holidays?
Depends on the holiday. it gets hard with his family farther than mine. But we try to make it even.

I can get very jealous, but dont tell him that. hahah
♥ How long did it take to get serious?
Like the L word? haha about a month i think, well with me, it really took him about 6 months to really know though.

Me. how sad. he could go a few days with out eating. but then when he does eat, he eats a ton, and doesnt gain a pound. what would it be like to have a body like him? i will never know.:(

I do. When i first met him, he did it at the laundry mat, and i kept telling him, do it at my place, i have my own washer/dryer. but it took him a few months til he did. i have done it since, with his help. what can i say, im weird, i love doing housekeeper chores :)

that one would go to him. he's a genius in my eyes. :)

Depends. Mostly him, I get sick of driving. and he lets me drive his car every once and a while, took him some time to trust me with his "baby" as he says. :)

Sewing with mom!
My mom helped me sew a duvet cover for my down comforter. We had bought the material back when we lived in Kaysville, and planned on making the cover than. But you know us girls, we procrastinate. haha. It turned out soo good. I love it. And I love spending time with my mom. She helps me bring out the creative side of me, that I couldn't bring it out as well without her.
While I'm on the topic of my mom, I want to write a little something about her for Mother's Day. She is the best mom anyone could ask for, but I am one of the 7 luckiest kids in the world to have gotten her as mine. :)
She always has been there, to help with anything from sewing on a button on a shirt, to cleaning up your throw up. She has always had the magic touch, to make you feel better. She always knows just what to say, to make any situation better. She has always put us kids and our dad before herself. She is so creative, and talented, and one day, I hope to be like her. She has put up with so much in life, and always come out of every situation with a smile on her face.
My mom is not only my mom, she is one of my best friends. She is my shopping buddy, my craft buddy, my girl talk buddy, she is my best buddy. I love you mom!

My sister is getting married!!! :) She might kill me for putting these pics up. But I want to blog about our adventures of the planning of her wedding! We went dress shopping a few weeks ago. These are the few we liked. She gets married in October, so we have a little longer before she will need to pick one out. We will be shopping some more at other places. She is going to be a beautiful bride! :) I am her maid of honor, my mom and laura are her bridesmaids. It is going to be so much fun. :)

Movies
Movies, hmm..where to start?
We love to watch movies, either at home, or movie theater. When I met him, he already had over 100 owned movies. I owned maybe 10, maybe. I just spend my money on other things. There are only so many movies I can watch more than once. He could watch movies over and over again. But it only takes him one time to have it memorized, and not even once to tell you what will happen. He is a very good predicter. haha. We slowly are building up our already big collection of movies. We count down the days to when our favorites come out on video so we can buy it. haha. :) Our latest favorite is Zombieland! Nut up, or shut up! Iron Man 2 comes out this friday, can't wait! :) The list goes on and on.

New Job!
James finally quit at Alpine! Yay! No more being on call, working late, or working with lame people. He started his new job this week at Arizona Shower Doors. It sure is great seeing him relaxed and happy. This summer will be fun actually planning things,going places, and not having to worry about his job getting in the way :)

I've decided to join the fun of blogging! Thought it would be a good way for me to spend some of my extra time, and work on my writing skills :). I have plenty of hobbies I love to do, but get bored if I do the same thing day in and day out. James on the other hand, only needs one hobby, video games.
